Oral cancer screening is an examination performed by our dentist to look for signs of cancer or precancerous conditions in your mouth.
Your dentist can screen for changes in your soft tissues that may be an indication of oral cancer. You will also be able to talk with your dentist about any pain or concerns you may have about the condition of your oral health.
Common symptoms of oral cancer include:
- Difficulty and painful to swallow
- Mouth pain
- Ear pain
- A lip or mouth sore that doesn’t heal
- A growth or lump inside your mouth
- Loose teeth
- A white or reddish patch on the inside of your mouth
